Several feared trapped after landslide in Kiambu
The Red Cross said the area had been cordoned off and declared a danger zone.
Several people were feared trapped in rubble on Tuesday, following a landslide in the Kimende Escarpments of Kiambu County.
The Kenya Red Cross Society reported this via X, saying a team had been dispatched on a search and rescue mission.

Several people are believed to be trapped.
The Red Cross Action Team is en route to the scene.
In an update later on Tuesday, the Red Cross said the area had been cordoned off and declared a danger zone.
Although no fatalities had been confirmed by press time, several people remained unaccounted for, it said.
Heavy rains have been pounding many parts of the county and have caused incidents such as landslides and other such destruction.
As of May 14, the death toll from the floods in Kenya had reached 289, while the number of people injured under different circumstances was 188.
The Interior ministry, which has been giving updates, also said that 75 people had been reported missing, 57,120 families, or 285,600 individuals, displaced, and 412,336 affected countrywide.
The number of camps hosting the displaced was 187, in 25 counties.
